Zihni Bar is right at the center of Istanbul’s urban life, the Nişantaşı district. And Zihni would be waiting for you right at the door, to welcome you to his Bar.
It all started in 80’s, when the magnificent Park Hotel was closed and its famous American Bar was sold to a respectable antiquity dealer’s store. The store owner, Zihni Şardağ was so impressed by this piece and its history that he decided giving after hours parties to his friends. In time, the dealer’s shop turned into a legendary mark of perfection in Istanbul’s nightlife; the Zihni Bar.
Zihni is currently located in a traditional and elegant building of Nişantaşı, which was designed almost a century ago by a leading architect of the era who created some of İstanbul’s landmark buildings, like the Haydarpaşa Train Station; Vedad Tek.
A passionate of antiquities and their hidden heritage, Şardağ personally supervised the renovation of the flat, overseeing with fastidious care that every detail was preserved or recreated as close to original as possible.
